To ensure your user experience runs smoothly and is managed in a consistent and timely manner, Haleon has engaged a third party, yet2, to help run its innovation portal. The reasons for using a third party portal are threefold. First, Haleon wants to ensure that all submitter responses are reviewed and dealt with in a consistent and timely manner. Second, Haleon understands that solutions can be provided by a variety of people, some that may require support in describing the solution in a way that enables more clarity on how it solves a need. yet2 has significant experience working in this area and is able to facilitate the process for ensuring best chance of success. Third, ensuring only non-confidential information is received is important for protecting your IP position as well as Haleon's. Haleon may be developing similar concepts, so sharing only non-confidential information eliminates the risk of jeopardizing Haleon ongoing research programs, projects and developing concepts. yet2 can help act as a gatekeeper to prevent Haleon from receiving confidential information. This portal is the only route that ideas submitted to Haleon will be accepted. Haleon will not consider any submissions outside the portal. Haleon does not accept ideas submitted to Haleon outside of the portal, and any such non-portal submissions are considered non-confidential in the absence of a Confidential Disclosure Agreement (CDA).

When you submit an idea through this Idea Submission Portal, you will be asked to complete an “Open Innovation Submission Form” including your contact details, a non-confidential overview of your solution and your agreement to the Terms and Conditions of submission and the Privacy Notice. On behalf of Haleon, yet2 will review your details and evaluate the solution within the portal to ensure it is sufficiently complete and in line with Haleon's interests and priorities.

Contact information is essential for us to follow up on your idea. The submission form must also provide an overview of the proposed solution, with the understanding that your submission will not be treated as confidential. You only need to send us an outline of your proposal at this stage, describing how it works in a general technical sense and what the benefits would be. If you have a published or granted patent, that will normally be a sufficient description, and you can simply provide us with the details of the published patent/application. If a patent has not yet been applied for or is not yet published, certain details of the potential patent could waive confidentiality so any submission and the timing of it should be considered very carefully.

yet2 will review your “Submitter Information Form” in relation to Haleon's current interests and priorities to decide if your solution is a good fit. yet2 will follow up directly with you through the portal to inform you of the status (i.e. the idea is not relevant and will not be taken further, more details required, of interest for further discussion, etc).
